Targeting of the MUC1-C Oncoprotein in Colitis-Associated Colorectal Cancer

Abstract

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is associated with the development of colorectal cancer. however, little is known about the mechanisms responsible for the progression of IBD to this malignancy. Our idea is that a better understanding of how IBD progresses to colorectal cancer will provide new insights for drug development against these malignancies.
