Innovative Ge Quantum Dot Functional Sensing/Metrology Devices

Abstract

Motivation to employ QDs for primary sensing and metrology devices is strong in light of peculiar, distinctive Coulomb blockade and quantum confinement effects onto nanometer-scaled QD structures, inducing size-tunable electronic structure, optical and thermal properties of QDs that has opened up access to wide-ranging applications in logics, computing, photonics, and metrology.
