Injury Prevention and Performance Enhancement in 101st Airbourne Soldiers

Abstract

This report is a summary of four phase research developing and validating the Eagle Tactical Athlete Program (ETAP). Phase 1 research identified the prevalence of musculoskeletal injuries. Phase 2 research identified suboptimal physical and physiological characteristics, implications for physical readiness, and considerations for physical training implementation. Phase 3 research developed ETAP and validated to improve injury mitigating characteristics. Phase 4 research validated ETAP to mitigate musculoskeletal injuries.
