Regulations Concerning the Collection and Interpretation of Information and Dissemination of Intelligence

Abstract

Any document , event or observation of any kind whioh may aid in our knowledge of the enemy and of the terrain is designated an item of Information. No item of information, however insignificant it may appear, can be neglected. The value of the information is enhanced according to the precision with which are reported: a. its character b. its source c. its date and hour d. the circumstances under which it was collected. 2 . Information of the enemy and of the terrain constitute an important factor in the concepts and the decisions of the Commander . Consequently every oommander must be provided with an Intelligence Service appropriate to the importance of his sphere of action. Service appropriate to the importanoe of his sphere of action .
