Topological Insulators and Superconductors for Innovative Devices

Abstract

Topological insulators are characterized by peculiar surface states hosting Dirac fermions with spinmomentum locking, which hold promise for various innovative devices. Similarly, topological superconductors are associated with exotic surface states, which often consist of Majorana fermions that may be a game changer for quantum computing.
