Report of the Military Compensation and Retirement Modernization Commission Interim Report

Abstract

This Interim Report was the first in a series of four major releases by the Commission. The Commission focused its efforts on three overarching compensation categories: 1) Pays and retirement; 2) Health benefits; and 3) Quality of life benefits. This Interim Report responds to the Commission's statutory mandate to undertake a comprehensive review of over 300 existing military pays and other compensation benefits to provide all concerned with a full and nuanced understanding of the scope, quantity, and funding of current military compensation.
