Geoacoustic Inversion Techniques Workshop

Abstract

The lack of high-resolution geophysical databases places severe limitations on the performance of present day active and passive sonar prediction systems that operate in shallow water. The long term goal of this work is to develop and assess effective inversion methods for estimating geoacoustic model parameters in shallow water environments.
