Abstract

LONG-TERM GOALS. Note: two special issues of Oceanography were supported by this award. To facilitate identification of each activity, the following naming convention will be used: Activity A: Oceanography Special Issue: Advances in Computational Oceanography Activity B: Oceanography Special Issue: The Japan/East Sea Activity A: To highlight advances in computational oceanography and disseminate this information internationally through distribution of Oceanography magazine in print and on The Oceanography Society website. Activity B: To highlight research conducted in the Japan/East Sea, and disseminate this information internationally through distribution of Oceanography magazine in print and on The Oceanography Society website. OBJECTIVES. Activity A: To produce an issue of Oceanography highlighting advances in computational oceanography. Activity B: To produce an issue of Oceanography highlighting research in the Japan/East Sea.
