Environmental Assessment of the Beddown of C-9C and C-40C Aircraft at Scott AFB, Illinois

Abstract

The EA evaluates the 932 AW's Proposed Action to replace three C-9A aircraft with three C-9C aircraft and to beddown three new C-40C aircraft at Scott AFB to meet USAF missions. The Proposed Action would include 9 facility projects to support operations. Under the No Action Alternative, Scott AFB personnel would continue to use existing aircraft and facilities. There would be no change from existing conditions at the Installation. An EA has been prepared to evaluate the Proposed Action and the No Action Alternative. Resources that are considered in the impact analysis include noise, land use, air quality, safety, geological resources water resources, cultural resources, biological resources, socioeconomics and environmental justice infrastructure and utilities, and hazardous materials and wastes. The EA will be made available to the public upon completion.
