Environmental Assessment for Construction of School Age Program Facility 355th Civil Engineer Squadron Davis-Monthan

Abstract

The 355 CES, through a private construction contractor, will construct a new facility on Quijota Blvd. to serve as activity space, additional office space, restrooms, and hallways for training at DMAFB. The addition will consist of approximately 15,500 square feet with an additional5,000 square feet of land to be covered by an addition to an existing parking lot. Under the preferred option, construction would be on a vacant area immediately northwest of existing Bldg. 6000. Under Alternate Option One, an addition totaling approximately 15,500 square feet would be constructed as an addition to the west side of existing Bldg. 6000, occupying an area now a parking lot. Under Alternate Option Two, construction of an addition would be on an area now a playground north of Bldg. 6000 and would also occupy approximately 15,500 square feet.
