AOSN MURI: Deep Water Docking for the Autonomous Oceanographic Sampling Network

Abstract

LONG TERM GOALS. To creat and demonstrate a reactive survey system, capable of long-term unattended deployments in harsh environments. We refer to such a system as an Autonomous Ocean Sampling Network (AOSN). Our specific task is concerned with docking the vehicle to a mooring and autonomously transferring data from it and recharging its batteries.
