Exploring Novel Spintronic Responses from Advanced Functional Organic Materials

Abstract

The effort investigates experiments on supermacrocycles which are 2D polymers reminiscent of graphene. Semi empirical calculations indicate the important structure of such new polymeric structures. The effort also developed a new instrument that allows measuring spatial dependence of linear and nonlinear light scattering (HRS), and assess hyperpolarisability tensor components, electric as well as magnetic, of the materials.
