Development of Military IRIS System for the Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment/Characterization of Defense Related Pollutants

Abstract

The Environmental Risk Assessment Program (ERAP) is a cooperative effort between the Department of Defense, Department of Energy and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The goal of the program is to improve the scientific methods and models for the performance and application of risk assessments. The project involved joint scientific reviews of pollutants of mutual concern and the development of risk assessments. The project involved joint scientific reviews of pollutants of mutual concern and development of new and improved methodologies for assessing risks related to federal facilities.
