Abstract

The object of the operations as a whole is to occupy FRENCH MOROCCO and ALGERIA with a view to the earliest possible subsequent occupation of TUNISIA and the establishment in FRENCH MOROCCO of a force which could move if necessary into SPANISH MOROCCO. The Commander-in-Chief, Allied Force, will command all forces assigned to Operation TORCH, under the principle of unity of command.
