Abstract

The VII Corps, with Divs in column, landing at "U" beach at H Hour on D Day, captures CHERBOIUiG -with the least practicable delay. The 4th Inf Div leading the VII Corps, attacks to the Northwest and extends its left flank to the DOUVE RIVER as soon as practicable. The 101st A/B Div landing by prcht and glider vic BLOSVILLE (367923), in addition to assisting the landing of the assault trs on "'U" beach and blocking movement of enemy reserves from the South, pushes a column to the West, blocks the crossings of the DOUVE at BEUZEVILLE and PONT L'ABBE, and makes contact writh this Div at ST SAUVEUR LE VICOMTE.
