Abstract

The Seventh Army, supported by Western Naval Task Force and XII tactical Air Command, will assault the South coast of France, secure a beachhead East of Toulon and then assault and capture Toulon. The Naval Commander, Western Task Force, will command the entire seaborne expedition from the time of sailing until the ground forces are firmly established ashore; thereafter, command of ground operations passes to the Commanding General, Seventh Army.
