Greedy Expansions in Banach Spaces (Preprint)

Abstract

We study convergence and rate of convergence of expansions of elements in a Banach space X into series with regard to a give dictionary. The greedy expansions in Hilberts spaces are well studied. Much less is known about greedy expansions in Banach spaces. An approach developed in this paper works in any uniformly smooth Banach space.
