Review of the Work of the Subcommittee on Protective Clothing of the Associate Committee on Aviation Medical Research 1942-1945,

Abstract

An account of war-research activities is given comprising three major groups of problems: the physical and chemical properties of materials used in clothing; the ability of clothing to offer physiological protection; and individual items of protection such as helmets, goggles, winter and summer suits, electrically and air-heated clothing, breathing equipment, containers for serum, and several others.
