Wind-Tunnel Investigation of Effect of Yaw on Lateral-Stability Characteristics. 4 - Symmetrically Tapered Wing with a Circular Fuselage Having a Wedge-Shaped Rear and a Vertical Tail

Abstract

Investigations were conducted to determine the effect of wing fuselage interference on lateral-stability characteristics. Increments of the rate of change in the coefficients of rolling moment, yawing moment, and lateral force with yaw caused by wing-fuselage interference are presented. It is shown that interference reduced effective dihedral of the low-wing model and increased effective dihedral of the high-wing model.
