An X-Band Frequency Modulated Relay System for Video Frequencies

Abstract

An X-band frequency modulated relay system for video frequency signals, utilizing two specially constructed transmitters and two receivers, was tested and gave good results with one intermediate relay point. No difference could be detected between its PPI presentation and that of an unrelayed signal. The equipment of this system is discussed, and a description is given of a means by which two channels were to be transmitted and received on a single antenna.
