Report of a Board of Officers Convened to Make a Study of the Armament and Types of Artillery Materiel to be Assigned to a Field Army

Abstract

On January 12, 1919 a Board of Officers, chaired by BG William I westervelt, was convened to consider the experience gained by artillery during World War I while serving with the American Expeditionary Forces. Their recommendations were issued in the form of a report during 1919 as to the armament and types of artillery materiel to be used by the U.S. Army's Artillery branch when supporting a field army.
