Glass Transition Temperatures of Acrylonitrile-Acrylate Copolymers.

Abstract

THE COPOLYMER SYSTEMS ACRYLONITRILE-BUTYL ACRYLATE, ACRYLONITRILE- 2-ETHYL HEXYL ACRYLATE AND ACRYLONITRILE-METHYL METHACRYLATE WERE INVESTIGATED. THEIR COHESIVE ENERGY DENSITIES AND CHARACTERISTIC VISCOELASTIC PARAMETERS WERE DETERMINED AND COMPARED WITH VALUES CALCULATED FROM VARIOUS SEMI EMPIRICAL RELATIONSHIPS. THE COPOLYMER GLASS TRANSITION TEMPERATURES WERE FOUND TO LIE BETWEEN THOSE OF THEIR RELATED HOMOPOLYMERS. (AUTHOR-PL).
