Resistance Spot Welding of Armor (1/4 Inch Rolled Homogeneous Plate),

Abstract

This report was prepared for the purpose of presenting all data available from tests of resistance spot welding of light armor plate made at Watertown Arsenal from 1933 to date. All spot welds were made with a single energy impulse. From the results it is believed that spot welding of light armor with a single energy impulse is practicable providing heat treatment of the armor can be done after the spot welding operation.
