100 Companies Receiving the Largest Dollar Volume of Prime Contract Awards, FY 1971

Abstract

This report presents summary data on the 100 companies and their subsidiaries receiving the largest dollar volume of DoD prime contract awards during the Fiscal Year. In many cases the parent company receives no awards itself but appears on the list because of its subsidiaries. Tables show both parent and subsidiaries. Data reflects the net value of both debit and credit procurement actions over $25,000. Procurement actions include definitive contracts, the obligated portions of letter contracts, job orders, task orders, delivery orders, and any other orders against existing contracts. Research and development, services, construction, and supply and equipment contracts, worldwide, are included. This does not include contracts that have not yet become mutually binding. Tables included list major companies and their major product, an alphabetical list of companies, a rank order of companies and dollars of contracts. Keywords: Military procurement, Contracts, Costs, United States, Statistical data, Tables(Data), Rank order, Statistics, Weapon systems, Department of Defense, Industries, Industrial procurement, Military research, Military supplies, Defense contracts and Prime contracts.
