A Research Investigation of Possibilities for Obtaining Hot-Hard Electrodeposited Chromium or Chromium-Base Alloys for Cannon.

Abstract

Efforts toward development of chromium-iron or chromium-iron--tungsten alloy plating baths are reported. Methods for obtaining chromium iron plates of any desired composition are indicated. The initial results show favorable possibilities for obtaining crack-free, hard alloy plates.
