Executive Summary for the Automated Military Construction Progress Reporting System (AMPRS).

Abstract

Repetitive activities (such as preparation of scheduled reports, in which most of the report information remains unchanged and requires sorting into predefined categories) are readily accomplished by automation. Data processing equipmen can sort and print in a perspecified format, with guaranteed accuacy, in a fraction of time that a trained team of personnel would need to provide the same information, Furthermore, a report produced by automation will invariably cost afraction of a manually produced report. This report provides a basic overview of the Automated Military COnstruction Progress Reporting System (AMPRS). It briefly discusses the objective of the system and its background, provides insight into its operation, and lists the standard reports that are currently output by the system.
