Powder Metallurgy: The Effect of Sintering Conditions on the Mechanical Property-Density Relationships of Iron Powder Compacts.

Abstract

The object of this U/A report was to determine tha changes in the relationship between mecanical properties and density which result from variations in the time and temperature of sintering iron powder compacts. This report presents in tabular form the data obtained in this obtained in this investigation and shows that although the time and temperature of sintering apparently affect the density-mechanical property relationship but little, additional data are necessary before the results can be stated conclusively.
