Ballistic Properties of Rivets,
Abstract
The purpose of this investigation was to determine the ballistic properties of hot driven rivets made of Republic Double Strength No. 1 Steel. The hot driven 3/4 in x 3 in round head rivets made of republic Double Strength No. 1 Steel were satisfactory from the point of view of ballistic efficiency and freedom of cracks and brittleness.
