Ground Water Conditions, with Special Reference to the Effect of Accidential Spillage of Radioactive Waste at a Reactor Site, Fort Belvoir, Virginia,

Abstract

This report was prepared in response to a response to a request for information concerning the nature and ion-exchange capacity of the subsoil, soil precolation and ground-water flow rates, and depth of the water table at the Army Package Power Reactor site. This report includes also brief discussions of the topographic, geologic and hydrologic conditions at the site and an estimate of the probable route and rate of movement of radioactive liquids if accidently spilled.
