The Use of the Metallizing Process in Selective Carburizing of Armor Plate.

Abstract

The object of this study was to determine if the metallizing process, which consists of spraying metallic copper on a surface of armor plate, is effective in preventing carbon absorption during the carburizing operation as revealed by metallographic examination.
