Problems of Metallography and the Physics of Metals. Part 1. (Problemy Metallovedeniya i Fiziki Metallov),

Abstract

In the fifth symposium of the Institute of Metallography and the Physics of Metals of the Central Scientific-Research Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy are incorporated the results of studies completed chiefly during the years 1954 to 1956. This translation of a Soviet document contains articles on the study of phase transformations in alloys, processes of hardening and softening, diffusion processes (with the aid of radioactive isotopes), and certain other problems. The symposium is intended for scientific workers and engineers specializing in the fields of metallography and the physical metallurgy.
