Cooper River Rediversion Project, Lake Moultrie and Santee River, South Carolina, Design Memorandum 3 - Entrance Channel in Lake Moultrie.

Abstract

The purpose of this design memorandum is to present an analysis of the physical characteristics, performance criterias, and construction considerations upon which the design of the Entrance Channel in Lake Moultrie shall be based. Included are the determination of the channel alignment and configuration, excavation quantities, hydraulic analyses, subsurface exploration data, and spoil disposal plan for the channel in Lake Moultrie. Also presented is a proposed alignment for the Intake and Tailrace Canals along with a tentative location of the proposed St. Stephen Powerhouse for the purpose of continuing study of these items.
