Yadkin-Pee Dee River, North and South Carolina. Report of the Flood of 9-12 August 1970.

Abstract

The purpose of this report is to present the basic data which have been collected concerning the flood of 9-12 August 1970 along the Yadkin River in North Carolina. This report summarizes hydrologic and other data that were readily available. Field investigations consisted of a reconnaissance of affected areas during the flood by representatives of the Charleston District Office and a flood damage survey conducted as flood waters subsided. Office studies included an evaluation of flood damages and a brief hydrologic analysis.
