Meteorological Observations during Exercise Crystal Key I Camp Fistclench, Greenland, Summer 1959.

Abstract

Climatic conditions at camp Fistclench during the summer of 1959 were cooler, foggier, less windy, and less snowy than the average of former summers on record. During one 7-hour period at the end of July 1959 the temperature hovered slightly above freezing, but no surface melting occurred in undisturbed ares and sticky snow did not become a problem.
