Report of the Flood of 17 - 23 March 1966, Waccamaw River, Horry County, South Carolina.

Abstract

The purpose of this report is to present the basic data whcih have been collected concerning the flood of 17-23 March 1966 along the Waccamaw River in Horry County, South Carolina. This report summarizes hydrologic and other dara that were readily available. Field investigations that were made consisted of a reconnaissance of critical areas during the flood by representatives of the Charleston District Office and a flood damage survey conducted after the flood subsided. Office studies included an evaluation of the flood damages and a brief hydrologic analysis.
