Metallurgical Examination of Experimental Helmet T24.

Abstract

This report covers the metallurgical examination of the aluminum component of four helmets type T24. The results revealed several deficiencies which were poorly spot welded chin strap loops, poor paint coating, and a marked variation in the thickness of the helmet from the brim to the top of the crown.
