Fifty laminated nylon test panels, plus fifty optically clear panels were prepared and sent to Aberdeen Proving Grounds for ballistic testing. A total of 209 rounds were fired on the ballistic testing range. A laminate was developed that had a V50 Ballistic Limits Test of 1629 feet per second and the eye shield laminate withstood striking velocities of 1860 feet per second to 2000 feet per second. Keywords: Armor, Laminates, Plastics.
