Development and Application of a Theory for Plastic Deformation of Cemented Alloys. Task 3. Copper-Cooled Tungsten Fiber Rocket Nozzle Materials.

Abstract

Copper and copper-nickel alloys were used as matrix material for the purpose of tungsten-tungsten bonding of fibers in tungsten felts. Initial experiments with different diameter tungsten fibers indicate that a certain nickel-to-copper ratio is optimum for maximum strength of the composite. (Author)
