Armor-Rolled: Metallurgical Examination of British Homogenous and Face Hardened Armor

Abstract

To make a complete metallurgical examination of three British homogeneous plates and three British face hardened plates submitted by Aberdeen Proving Ground. In conjunction with an extensive comparative program being fired at Aberdeen Proving Ground with American and British APC projectiles against with American and British amor plate, it was requested by the Office, Chief of Ordnance, that this arsenal conduct complete metallurgical examinations upon sections taken from each British Plate.
