Project Ececution Plan. Centerville Beach, Sewer Outfall. Summer 1975.

Abstract

A small-diameter sewer outfall line is to be installed at the U.S. Naval Facility, Centerville Beach, Ferndale, California to discharge tertiary-treated sewage effluent into the Pacific Ocean. The outfall is required to comply with State of California and Environmental Protection Agency regulations. The outfall line is being installed as part of FY 1972 Emergency Construction MCON Project P-031, as an alternative to the original plan of delivering the sewage to the City of Ferndale treatment facilities. The outfall project consists of three main sections: 1000 feet + or - of land line connecting the sewage treatment facilities to the offshore line; 3000 feet + or - of offshore line extending from the beach to a water depth of 50 feet; An outlet structure at the end of the offshore line.
