Guidelines for the CHESDIV Information Retrieval System.

Abstract

The Information Retrieval System (IRS) is a complex, integrated system of three manual and three hardware systems designed to permit easy access to documents through the use of computer generated indexes. The guidelines herein are a step-wise means to inform and instruct personnel in the IRS use and maintenance. Contents: System Overview; Document Flow; Physical Filing; Citations; MTST; Conversion of MTST Cartridges; Computer Processing.
