Investigation of Cements for Fabricating and Repairing Engineer Equipment.

Abstract

This report covers an investigation which was conducted to evaluate commercially available adhesives for use in the fabrication and repair of Engineer equipment, such as airplane hangar curtains, doors, and envelopes, and collapsible water storage tanks. Several adhesives obtained from industry were subjected to tests designed to evaluate their adhesive properties. The test results indicate that some of the cements show promise for use in the fabrication of an end item but that continued study is need to develop an all-surface adhesive.
