German Map Reading Light,

Abstract

The German map reading light covered in this report was forwared by the Chief of Engineers to the Engineer Board for examination. The device consists essentially of three parts: battery case, lead wire, and enclosed lamp receptacle. An elastic strap allows the lamp to be strapped on the user's forehead. The battery case is carried in the user's hip pocket, and the lead wire lies along his back. The data or place of capture is unknown.
