Survey and Testing at Federal Dam, Leech Lake.
Abstract
Test excavations at the location of campground improvement construction at the Federal Dam, Leech Lake River, Minnesota showed no significant archaeological remains will be damaged. One surviving prehistoric burial site exists on federal land but is not endangered. A buried soil zone with archaeological materials will be traversed by a water line but will suffer minimal damage by construction.
