Archaeological Reconnaissance, Bassett Creek Watershed. Flood Control Project Area,

Abstract

The surface reconnaissance conducted at the pre-authorization phase of the Bassett Creek flood control project is useful primarily in making an initial assessment of archaeological potential. The results were negative, although surface survey alone is not an adequate means of determining the presence or absence of archaeological sites because of the degree of residential and industrial development in the area.
