A Socio-Medical Study of the LISU of Northern Thailand.

Abstract

Background literature on Southeast Asia, the Hill Tribes of Thailand and medical anthropology was consulted. Northern Thai was studied with a tuter. Field trips and surveys were conducted. Statistics on Lisu were gathered, ceremonies observed and recorded, and a village, Ban Lum, Tamboon Pa Pae, Amphur Mae Taeng, Chiengmai, was selected for future study.
