Excavations at the Henry Langer Site, 21-CA-58, for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers,

Abstract

The purpose of this report is to document the results of the excavation at the Henry Langer site (21-CA-58) located on Gull Kake neat the outlet of the Gull River, and to survey the remainder of surrounding government lands planned for development as a recreation area by the Army Corps of Engineers. At least four components are present at the site. Because of the archaeological significance of the site it is recommended at the mail site area be preserved. This would necessitate re-routing part of the proposed road loop and moving the boat launch parking area.
