Abstract

This document discusses: 1) Further investigations of the nature and significance of the dynamic bacterial flora of major burns; 2) Investigation of the nature, frequency, and significance of the anaerobic non-sporulating bacteria in sepsis occurring in burn patients and their relationship to synergism in polymicrobic infections; 3) Clinical evaluation of Pseudomonas Vaccine; 4) Gnotobiotic studies of the response and course of standard burn wounds; 5) Studies on the effectiveness of early excision on morbidity and mortality of burn patients; 6) Studies in experimental animals of the nature and causes of Curlings' ulcer in the post burn period; 7) Continuing clinical and laboratory studies of all patients treated on University of Cincinnati Burn Unit; and 8) Publications.
