Body Alone Characteristics at Angles of Attack,

Abstract

Numerous studies have been made by various groups to determine and correlate the aerodynamic characteristics of simple bodies of revolution. This presentation is separated into 3 basic subject group: (1) characteristics of small angles of attack (linear aero); (2) characteristics at large angles of attack (non-linear aero); and (3) body-generated wake effects. The subject of linear aero is not discussed, but a list of referenced work is presented. The remaining two subject groups are discussed, with referenced work included.
