Infrared Search and Track Evaluation Model (IRSTEM).

Abstract

The purpose of this contract is to develop a system-level computer code to evaluate the performance of Infrared Search and Track (IRST) systems. Since development work has not stopped with delivery of the initial code, this report documents modifications made to the original code. The computer models added to the Infrared Search and Track Evaluation Model (IRSTEM) enable the inclusion of cloud radiance, solar glints, realistic target signatures, system noise and solar scatter.
